Welcome to planDisney, Miranda! I'm so happy you found us to ask this question! How exciting that you're arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth this summer for your little one's first visit!!!
I remember my kids' first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! There's something so magical about that first visit and it's still my favorite after many, many years of Disney vacations! There are many attractions for your 4-year-old to enjoy at the theme parks and I have a tip for how you can view these! On the
Walt Disney World website, you can see all of the
attractions and entertainment here. Once on this page, you can select "all filters" and then select "preschoolers" from a dropdown menu. You can also select "height" and slide on the ruler to choose the height that matches your 4-year-old. While some attractions do not have a height requirement at all, some do have a minimum height requirement.
Let's talk about how you can provide some magical experiences that match your little Mouseketeer's favorite Disney characters! There's an entire land dedicated to Toy Story at
Disney's Hollywood Studios!
Toy Story Land has a few attractions and hopefully these could be an option for your little one! I did some research and found that the average height for a 4-year-old is about 40 inches.
Slinky Dog Dash has a 38-inch height requirement, so fingers crossed that this could be a possibility!
Alien Swirling Saucers has a height requirement of 32 inches and this would likely be an option too.
Toy Story Mania! doesn't have a height requirement and my husband and I get very competitive on this one! While you are at Hollywood Studios, be sure to catch the Pixar Pals Motorcade to see Andy's Toys and many more favorite characters. You can find the times for this by using the search feature in the
My Disney Experience app.
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure is located near the France Pavilion at
EPCOT. This 4D attraction will take you on a culinary cruise that turns into quite an adventure! Fair warning though! This attraction will inspire you to eat and drink your way around the World Showcase! While there isn't an attraction for Encanto, there are many other character-themed attractions, many of which are at
Magic Kingdom Park!
I have two more very important tips for you! Be sure to capture all of the magical memories as you make them by using
Disney PhotoPass Service! The photos will be the best souvenir you can purchase and as a fellow mom, I know you will love looking at them for years to come! I would also recommend picking up a complimentary 1st Visit celebration button at one of the theme parks. It's another great souvenir to commemorate your little one's first Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
