Hi Jennifer,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm delighted to hear you are planning a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth with your little one! We have such wonderful memories of first visits with our own little ones. My kids are both in college now, so those memories from when they were small are even sweeter.
Fortunately, Cast Members at the
Walt Disney World Resort are well-versed in meeting the needs of families with little ones. Whether you bring food you have packed from home or food you have picked up at a Quick-Service Restaurant, Table-Service Restaurants will not mind if you bring the food your little prince will need. If your son is like our children were, you might be surprised by the foods he's willing to try in a new environment. My kids were always more interested in what was on our plates than in the food we brought for them. Of course, all bets were off if we chose
Character Dining. Sometimes it's difficult to eat when you're waiting for Mickey Mouse to say hello!
Since you are visiting with a child younger than 2, you might want to check out this guide to
Planning for Preschool Kids and Little Ones. The guide has fantastic recommendations for having a successful visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.
Jennifer, thank you for visiting us with your question! Here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, we collectively have a LOT of experience visiting the
Theme Parks and
Resort Hotels with small children, so we'd love to help with any other planning questions you might have.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy H.
