Taking my 5 year old to Disneyland for the 1st time. We want to take her to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Are morning appointments better than evening (after 6pm) appointments? Or no difference?

    Royal Greetings, Auggie!

Welcome to planDisney!  Auggie, a dream is a wish your heart makes when you're fast asleep.  For most little ones, getting to embody a beloved character with a magical transformation at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a dream come true.  When my princes and princess got to do this a few years ago, they were beaming with pixie-dusted smiles from ear to ear all day.

Auggie, the best Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique appointments are ALL of them, because any time is a good time to have a Fairy Godmother (or one of her apprentices) wave a magic wand and - like magic - transform your little one into the character of her dreams.  But, if you have the opportunity to choose your time, personally I prefer a morning appointment.

This is because it gives little ones longer in the day to immerse themselves in the magic at Disneyland Park, dressed in their best and feeling like royalty.  Plus, little ones tend to be up early with some extra Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah in their step in the morning. So, they will likely be happier to sit for the appointment.  It's rare that the Fairy Godmother's Apprentices are running behind but in the off chance they are -  after all, even miracles take a little time - getting there earlier means you'll have less chance of being impacted by any delay in the schedule.   Finally, if you are interested in a package that includes a photo session, these tend to be available earlier in the day and may not be available after 4:00 p.m.

Now a few important reminders. You already know that you need to return home before the stroke of midnight (and keep an eye on your little princess's shoes.) But you should also know that you can make your Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservations beginning 60 days in advance of your booking date, and they are highly recommended.  You will need a valid credit card number at the time of booking, and there is a $10 cancellation fee (price subject to change) for no-shows or cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment. Transformations take anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour, and the salon's last makeover is 7:00 p.m. every day.  The boutique may close to accommodate fireworks performances and will reopen 20-30 minutes after it concludes up until the last appointment of the day.  Finally, your little one should arrive with clean and brushed hair.

I hope this helps you, Auggie.  If you have any additional Disney vacation planning questions, stop back here and we will be so happy to help you.  Have fun making magical memories!

    Magically Yours,
