I am taking my 3 1/2 year old to Disney in October, is it best to bring a stroller or wagon? What should we not miss? How do you recommend we plan our day? We have park hopper passes and fast passes. Thank You!

    Hi Smith!

October is a great time to visit the Disney parks!  The crowd level is much lower, meaning less wait times for attractions; the weather is cooler and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is in full effect!

My recommendation is for guests to always bring their own stroller.  The strollers available for rental at WDW are hard plastic and can be uncomfortable when kids are sleeping.  Wagons are not allowed in any of the WDW parks, so you can definitely leave that home.

You would be surprised at the selection of attractions that you can take your toddler on. Most of the rides at Magic Kingdom are toddler friendly, save of course for Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain. At Epcot, he/she will be able to enjoy Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land, Journey into Imagination with Figment, Three Caballeros and all the awesome shows that are offered at World Showcase. At Hollywood Studios, your toddler will truly love Disney Junior--Live on Stage, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Muppets 3D and Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage! In Animal Kingdom, your child will enjoy Finding Nemo--The Musical, It's Tough to be a Bug and of course Festival of the Lion KIng!

These are only a handful of the attractions in which your child can ride with you! When planning your stay, make sure you plan a rest break in the middle of the day. There's a good chance your child will be tired by one/two pm, and is going to need a nap to recharge and be able to enjoy all of what WDW has to offer.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
