We’re taking our 2 year old to Disney the first week of May. We booked a Royal room at Port Orleans Riverside. I was wondering which building/room location would provide the most convenient location to the food court and bus stop.

    Hi Ashley!

Oh, how exciting that your family vacation is right around the corner! I've stayed in a Royal Room at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside a few visits ago and you're going to love it. And your 2-year-old is going to find surprises left behind from almost every Princess all around this special room!

When looking at a map of Disney's Port Orleans Riverside, the two buildings that house Royal Rooms are located due-right to the main Check-in-and-much-more building, or where the blue pin is dropped on the map. Both Royal Room buildings, which includes the "Oak" house (or building 90 that looks like a big "H") as well as "Parterre" (aka building 95 that looks like a giant, fancy "U") look like beautiful Antebellum-style mansions complete with well manicured gardens and fountains. Both are pretty equidistant to the Riverside Mill Food Court located inside Riversides' main building, which is accessible by a short footbridge.  However the rooms closest to the river of these buildings are closer to that footbridge.

As far as bus stops this resort actually has four. The main and first bus stop of Port Orleans Riverside is located just outside the entrance on the parking lot side of the main building. Bus stop number four is located to the right of the northeastern-most wing of the Oak building.

Don't forget to visit Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter hotel (you can take the ferry!) where you'll also have pool privileges. (They have the perfect toddler splash pool that my own two-year-old loves.)

I do hope that your own Princess enjoys this wonderful resort, Ashley, and We'll See You Real Soon!
