We're taking our 1 year old daughter to Disney for her birthday. Any advice/suggestions on what activities we can do?

    Hi Jocelyn!

Walt Disney World is the PERFECT place to celebrate a birthday, especially one as exciting as a first!  We took both of our kids to Walt Disney World for their first birthdays.  I really enjoy looking back at those pictures and showing them those magical memories.

If your daughter hasn't already had her first haircut, taking her to Harmony Barber Shop in Disney's Magic Kingdom is fantastic for a first birthday memory.  They have a My First Haircut package that includes the haircut, special Mickey ears that say "My First Haircut" on the back, a certificate and they give you some of the clipped hair as a keepsake.  I made shadow boxes for each of my kids with a photo, their ears and the certificate.  Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling (407) WDW-PLAY or (407) 939-7529.

We took our kids for a character meal as well.  Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort is my favorite character dining experience to see the "Fab Five".  Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, Donald and Minnie greet Guests at their table and the food is wonderful!

A private photo session with Disney Fine Art Photography is a fabulous way to commemorate a first birthday.  There are two photo packages to choose from and a handful of beautiful locations.  We have done 3 sessions with them and our photos are fantastic!

Be sure to pick up a complimentary birthday button at any park or Resort!

    Have a magical day!
