We will be taking my 6 year old daughter, who is on the autism spectrum, on our first Disney trip. When is the best time to visit if you are trying to avoid crowds? We want this to be a positive experience for her AND need to be conservative on cost.

    Hi Elizabeth!!!

I can totally understand your concern for making your daughter's first Walt Disney World Vacation a positive experience.  Coupled with the fact that she is autistic makes this an even more important decision!

Luckily for you the lowest times for crowds are usually also the lowest for resort prices.  I would say the best times to go crowd wise are mid to late January into mid-February (up until President's Week.)  I would also say a good time to go is in the month of September up until mid-November.

I hope this helps guide you in the right direction to plan your daughter's first Walt Disney World Vacation!  If you have any additional questions please feel free to ask again!!

    Wishing you a magical trip,

    Scott
