Hi Erica,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question!
As Mama to a little 2 year old dude, I can tell you that almost all of Walt Disney World Resort’s dining experiences are a great place for his birthday dinner! That being said, my recommendations (based on which ones were big hits with my kiddo), in no particular order, would be:
'Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort: The Dinner with Hawaiian Hospitality includes skewer after skewer of sweet and sour pork loin, oak-grilled shrimp and steak, as well as dumplings, stir-fried vegetables, and, my favourite… ‘Ohana’s bread pudding, served à la mode with bananas foster sauce. Plus, the coconut races, songs and games will keep your little guy entertained throughout your meal.
The Garden Grill at Epcot: Not only is Chip N Dale’s Harvest Feast filled with some pretty delicious choices (fish, skirt steak and chicken, with all kinds of great sides), it’s a character dining experience AND the restaurant slowly rotates as you eat. My little guy couldn’t get enough of the drumsticks on the kids’ menu too.
50’s Prime Time Café at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: The servers are a riot, the food tastes like your grandma is cooking up a storm in the kitchen and the theming is impeccable. My son kept giggling because of the silly games our server “cousin” was playing with him.
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us again if you need any other help planning your son’s upcoming birthday celebration vacation!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
