We are taking two grandson to Disney and have purchased the Memory Maker. Can their parents at home view the pictures during our trip? If so, how do they do that?

    Hi Catherine,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so happy to hear you’re planning a Grand Adventure at Walt Disney World Resort with your grandsons later this year. My children love visiting Walt Disney World with their grandparents, and we’ve made so many magical memories together there.

We always purchase Memory Maker so we can capture all our vacation photos. It makes all of us so happy to look back on those special moments, and it makes my heart happy to picture your grandsons’ parents looking at your photos and seeing it all for themselves in real time.

Making this happen is as easy as “bibbity bobbity boo!” The parents will need a My Disney Experience account in order to link to you and view your pictures. Once they’ve set that up, in your My Disney Experience Account, select “My Family & Friends.” You’ll see “Add a Guest,” and you can search for and add them. Once you are linked, they will be able to see your Memory Maker photos.

Have you set up your My Disney Experience Mobile App yet? You’ll want to have the app on your smartphone because it has so many great functions, from Mobile Ordering your food to looking at those precious Memory Maker photos. You can link the parents using the app if you prefer, and they may prefer to download the app so they can look at photos while they’re on the go. In the app, the photos appear toward the bottom of the home screen – just tap on “My Photos.”

My fellow Panelists recently shared their favorite spots for taking photos around the theme parks, and my advice is to stop at PhotoPass photographers when you see them. They're ready to capture your family in front of all the Disney icons and with many of the characters you'll meet. Be sure to ask your photographer if they have MagicShots available - these pixie-dusted photos contain a little extra magic that you see when the photo pops up in your app. So much fun!

I hope you have the best time together this November, Catherine. The holidays are such a special time to visit Walt Disney World Resort, and I hope you have the most merry and magical time together. Are you planning to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party? Mickey and his friends really know how to throw a festive celebration, with my favorite parade at Walt Disney World, a new fireworks show, special treats and entertainment, and snow on Main Street U.S.A. – it’s the most wonderful time of year in Magic Kingdom Park!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
