I am taking my two boys 7 &9, to Disney World for their third time and we want to spend a day outside of the parks. Do you have any suggestions for activities that are low in cost?

    Hello Lori,

Don't get me wrong, my family loves Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and all the other theme parks. But we really believe there is so much more to Disney World. We love spending time outside of the parks. There's truly so much to experience.

See if your Woody and Buzz Lightyear will toy with any of these ideas:
    • Visit the horses at Tri-Circle-D Ranch then hit the Chip'n Dale Campfire Sing-a-long at Fort Wilderness. The sing-a-long is free.
    • Play a round of Miniature Golf.
    • Rent a boat for an hour off one of the resort marinas (it's not as expensive as you might think!).
    • Hit the BoardWalk and watch its many street performers. Or rent a surrey bike for all of you!
    • Explore the shops and restaurants in Downtown Disney.
    • Check out the different resorts and pick out where you want to stay for your next visit! When you hop from hotel to hotel, consider taking the Monorail to get from one location to another. Or taking the boat.
No matter what you choose, I'm sure the memories you make will take you and the boys to infinity and beyond! Enjoy your trip!

Meet the Panelist: Monina, Ohio

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
