Howdy, Lauren! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am beyond thrilled to hear that you are taking your little ones to the Disneyland Resort for the first time! I can vividly remember my daughter's first visit to the parks and my heart swells just thinking of all the magical memories you and your family will make.
With your Disneyland Resort
vacation package, you will receive all your travel documents, including your theme park tickets, when you check in to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. Once you arrive and have your tickets in-hand, you can link them to the
Disneyland app. You will either scan the barcode on the back of each ticket or manually enter the ticket ID number. As you link each ticket, you will want to add a name. You can only add a name during this step in the process and it cannot be changed. Once the tickets are linked to the app, you can use those digital tickets or your physical tickets to gain entry into the parks.
Since you’ll be traveling with kids a few years apart in age, you might want to take advantage of
Rider Switch if both you and your partner want to ride attractions with your 4-year-olds that your youngest isn’t able to ride. Rider Switch allows one parent to wait with the younger child outside of the attraction while the other parent rides with the older kids. Then when the group riding the attraction has finished, the parent waiting with the younger child switches places and they can ride the attraction (with the two older children!) during a set return time window with only minimal waiting.
I hope this information was useful. Have a wonderful visit to the Disneyland Resort!
