We're taking a trip to WDW & then cruising on the Disney Dream in June 2011. 10 days = LOTS of packing!! We want to dine at Palo one night. In an effort to preserve luggage space, would (nice) tennis shoes for guys be appropriate? Jeans are a no-no?

    Hi, Federico!

What an exciting adventure you have planned for your family -- you've combined the best of both worlds with a trip to Walt Disney World (WDW) and a cruise aboard Disney's Dream!

I know that it does seem like a lot to pack over the course of 10 days. Remember that you can make use of guest laundry facilities at WDW while you're there so that you can start the cruise with a fresh stash of clothes. Plus, you can repeat outfits on the cruise -- especially for your cruise casual night dining and your Palo night.

I do like to dress up, and I like my family members to look nice as well -- including my husband  and three sons. Therefore, I would prefer for my husband not to wear jeans or tennis shoes to a restaurant like Palo, and I certainly don't want you to feel uncomfortable or out of place either. My suggestion is that you pack a pair of loafers, one pair of khaki pants and one dress shirt. This outfit can be repeated on the cruise and at a signature restaurant at WDW, too. As warm as it is usually at WDW and in the Bahamas in June, you probably won't need your jeans.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
