We're taking a trip (mom, 2 sisters, me) to WDW this April. My mom's not really a theme park person and I want to book something special for her to do that is fun, relaxing and just for her. She's not a foodie and she hates massages... any ideas?

    Hi Sarah,

My mom's not a foodie and yet she truly enjoyed afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian's Garden View Lounge. The strawberries and cream were delicious!

There's activities to match various interests throughout Walt Disney World.

    Here's a few ideas:

If she enjoys gardening or appreciates beautiful arrangements, the Gardens of the World tour would be fun and relaxing three-hour journey. And it's only offered during the Flower and Garden Festival which runs March 7 - May 20. The tour takes a look at the exquisite floral displays created for the festival as well as the landscaping in Epcot. In fact, there are so many wonderful events and tours to explore during the festival that your mom could probably spend all day there. Be sure to get your a map of the festival offerings upon arrival! If she enjoys decorating, the HGTV Designer Presentations are quite popular!

Does she like to relax by the pool? Treat her to a cabana! Be sure to leave her with some fun reading.

Shopping is a great pastime if it's something that she enjoys. The stores in Epcot's World Showcase along with the cultural shows are a great way to spend a day. My Mom and I like to shop in the United Kingdom for lavender scented lotion!

I hope you find an activity that's just perfect for your mom. It's thoughtful of you to consider booking a memorable moment geared towards her interests!
