Hi Jennifer! I am sure you are getting really excited for your upcoming trip and I am glad to hear that the planning has begun. How wonderful to be celebrating such a wonderful occasion. My husband and I honeymooned at Walt Disney World and celebrated our 5th anniversary there, so I have a few suggestions based on some favorite and romantic spots.
We celebrated our 5th anniversary at J
iko - The Cooking Place at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. The food was exquisite and the wine selection even better. I often think about that evening out with fond and special memories. One of my favorite things on the menu was the Taste of Africa as an appetizer. It was a selection of dips and spreads with house-made Naan bread. The lamb shank and filet mignon are delicious, too. A fun and unique cocktail, perfect for a celebration toast, is the Zebratini! Jiko - The Cooking Place is in the same resort as
Simba's Clubhouse, one of the children's activity centers. Your children will have a blast enjoying wild crafts, movies and games while also having dinner provided, as well.
If you are interested in dining at Epcot or at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, the
Sandcastle Club is convenient to both. It is in Disney's Beach Club Resort, but Epcot is just a short 5-10 minute walk from there. I would recommend
Monsieur Paul in the France pavilion of Epcot. My husband and I also celebrated a special evening there a few years ago. It was really romantic and quiet and the French cuisine is some of the best I have ever had.
Cheers!
