Will be taking our 1st trip to disney during spring break 2013. Have read that the best place to go for Easter is Epcot. Is this true? & if at epcot for easter what are some dinner recommendations? & what are the activites for children?

Hi Mandi! Easter is a fun place to spend at Walt Disney World. Epcot is just one of the many places you can go to find something special.

The Magic Kingdom will be the most crowded park on this day due to the ever popular Easter parade. It is festive but if you are looking for a more calm way to spend your day Epcot is indeed a good choice. Generally there is an Easter egg hunt in the park in an area located between the large fountain in Future World and the lake. This has been basically the only organized activity. In the past this has been the weekend for Art in the Park but with Easter changing dates every year I can't say this will happen for sure.

Check with your resort about Easter activities they might be planning. Each resort operates their own schedule of events and this can change from year to year. Often they will have egg hunts and craft projects for their guests.  Easter services are offered at the Contemporary resort for both Catholic and Protestant services. As it gets closer you can check the times for these.

As far as dining in Epcot you have many choices. None of the restaurants will actually have any special meal on this day so it becomes a choice of your palate.  Some of my favorite spots include Via Napoli, Japan, La Hacienda, and both of the France restaurants.
