What an awesome plan, Keith!
Palo is an amazing restaurant and your 18-year old will have an awesome time dining there with you. What a special treat!
My husband and I never miss a dining experience at Palo whenever we sail with Disney Cruise Line. It's always a gastronomic evening for dinner... or afternoon for brunch. No matter what time of day, it's always a winner!
My 2 teenagers now look forward to our date nights -- this means they get to dine at our assigned restaurant rotation on their own. Since we usually plan our parent date night midway through our cruise, my kids would even invite a friend to dinner with them. We usually will let our dining team know that we will be at Palo for dinner that evening, and they always take really good care of the kids when they dine on their own. I usually book our Palo dining reservation around the same time as our usual dining schedule... just so that I can drop off my kids at the main dining restaurant that our family is assigned to that night. On our last couple of cruises, I didn't even need to do that anymore - since my kids now know the drill :-). If your kids don't want to dine at the main restaurant, they can always get something to eat at the dinner buffet at
Cabanas (on the Disney Dream, Fantasy & Magic) or Beach Blanket Buffet (on the Disney Wonder).
Sailing with Teens is always fun on any of the Disney Cruise ships. Your girls will be a little jealous of their older brother enjoying Palo, but I'm sure they'll have a great teen dinner on their own - or maybe with friends they meet at the
Vibe.
Please enjoy a chocolate souffle for me while at Palo. :-)
Enjoy!
