Hi Mary-Kathryn!
Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel site and sending in your questions. You and your 2 year old will have loads of fun on a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas. When my kids were little, our family enjoyed the
Atlantis Beach Day port adventure while in Nassau. You get to enjoy energy burning fun at the beach, and a slow self-paced stroll, checking out the Atlantis 'ruins', and the aquarium. The package also includes lunch, so that's one less thing you have to worry about while off the ship. You can bring a light umbrella stroller with you to your port adventure to make it a bit more relaxing for your little one. It also helps, since there is an approximate 15-minute walk from the resort to the bus pickup point when it is time to go back to the ship in the afternoon.
With all the activities that your little buccaneer would be involved in during the day, let's hope that he'll easily fall asleep at night. Here are some pictures of the
staterooms on the ships. You'll notice that there's a curtain that can be drawn to separate the bed, and that makes a cozy little room with privacy. When we go on vacation, I do admit that we don't follow our normal bed time routine. My kids do stay up much much later, since they love being at the youth clubs and being around such caring and fun youth counselors. It's funny how their gears change so quickly -- they would be on hyper drive at the clubs when we pick them up, and once we're back in our stateroom and comfortably laying in bed, they're off to dream land in no time!
I hope this helps. Do let us know if you have additional questions.
Have a great time with Mickey and the whole gang!
