Taking my son to WDW to celebrate his 14th b-day and his first half marathon (Wine and Dine!). Just broke my foot in a boot and crutches. My son says that if I can't run, he won't run either, but he deserves this!. Will Disney let me run with crutches?

Hi Tracy.  I am so sorry to hear about your foot.  That really stinks, especially since you are so close to the race.

The safety restrictions for runDisney say this:

For the safety of yourself and the other participants, baby joggers, strollers, baby carriers, baby backpacks, inline skates, motorized scooters, bicycles, skateboards, canes, crutches, walkers, walking sticks and animals of any kind are prohibited from the course. If you are seen in violation of one of these you will be removed from the course and transported to the finish line area.

So, I am afraid you won't be allowed to use crutches for the race.  I'm not sure if he is choosing not to run because he is disappointed for you or because he is nervous to do it alone.  But, I think he would really enjoy the race.  There is a lot of entertainment along the way, and most people are running it solo.  It's hard to stay with someone for the entire race.  You could definitely meet him at the finish line and head to the post-race party with him!

I hope you guys can work something out.  Please let me know if you have any other questions!!
