We are taking my son to WDW for his 5th Birthday. He is a huge Star Wars fan. Do you know if the Star Wars weekend will continue during October 2011. We were planning on going to Hs on Sunday Oct. 16.

    Hello there Kimberly!

I have made it my goal to make sure we are at Walt disney World every year for Star Wars Weekends! It's our most favorite time of the year! That being said, Star Wars weekends only lasts for four weekends in a row starting around the last two weekends of May. We have been the last two years and the kids have had such a great time each year! If you are going to be going to Hollywood Studios in October, then I would try to get your son into the Jedi Training Academy!  I spoke to one of the Cast Members at the Jedi Training Academy a few months ago and she gave me some great advice. She said that to have the best chance of your son being chosen to become a Padawan in one of the shows, you need to get to Hollywood Studios before it opens. When the park officially opens, go straight to the Jedi Training Academy stage and ask one of the Cast Members about signing up for one of the shows during the day. This is super important, your sons must be present to be able to sign up to take part in the Jedi Training Academy. I hope you and your family have a Magical Time at the Walt Disney World Resort! Thanks so much for asking the Moms Panel! If you have more questions, we are always here to help!
