Taking 7 y.o. son for 2nd trip in August! ADR at Akershus @ 8:05am, but husband thinks it's only for girls? Thoughts? Our son liked meeting Snow White, Ariel, & Tiana on trip last year, but would hate for him to feel awkward.

    Hi Katherine Ashley,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Akershus is lots of fun. My son really liked seeing the princesses when he was younger, but now that he's eight, I know that he wouldn't enjoy it. So, it really depends on your son, and what characters he'd like to see. If the trip isn't a surprise, maybe you could ask him if he still wants to have breakfast with the princesses?

If he doesn't, there are lots of other character meal options. My son's favorite now is the buffet at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom, where you'll see Winnie the Pooh and friends.

I hope that helps you make a decision. Have a great vacation.
