    We are taking my son, and husband, for their first Disney trips in January 2017. My son will turn 5 during our trip as well. Is there anything special that can be planned at Pizza Planet for him? Cake? Characters? Anything?

    Hi Jessie,

    Congratulations on your husband and son's first Walt Disney World vacation! Celebrating your son's 5th birthday will add an extra dose of Magic to your trip. You should make sure to note that you are celebrating your son's birthday on all of your Advanced Dining Reservations as well as your Disney Resort hotel reservations. You never know, but often times a little extra birthday Pixie Dust will fall his way during his birthday trip. Additionally make sure you stop by Guest Relations at the entrance to any of the theme parks to request a special "Birthday Button" for your son to wear during the entirety of your vacation, not just on his actual birthday. He will be delighted with the number of times he is wished happy birthday from the Cast Members and sometimes other Guests too.


    Unfortunately since Pizza Planet is a Quick-Service restaurant, there isn't an ability to order a birthday cake for him there like there is available at most Table-Service restaurants. However the cupcakes which are offered at Pizza Planet are quite large and very yummy so you could have a mini-celebration on your own while dining.  Another birthday idea is to gift your child with some Pizza Planet arcade money so he can enjoy the fun games just like Andy did.

    Jessie if you are looking for a Table-Service restaurant in which you can order a birthday cake for your son you can make a reservation at one of these Walt Disney World restaurants.  You can further use the filters in the middle of the linked page to search for meals which include characters if you like.
