Bright Suns, Amanda!
Welcome back to planDisney! Thanks for bringing your stellar question our way!
It sounds like you’re getting “Resistance Ready” and I’m here to help! When trying to join a Boarding Group for
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, you can use multiple mobile devices so that each Guest in your party can try to secure your position in the virtual queue at 10:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. Check out the
Disney Parks Blog for the steps you'll want to take to
join the virtual queue! Guests may only be included in one Boarding Group each day. So if one person in your party successfully joins a Boarding Group on their device, the other devices with the same tickets linked will no longer be eligible for a Boarding Group.
And, your son does not have to use your My Disney Experience Account unless you want him to. Any Guest age 13 and older may create an account. If he does decide to create an account, be sure to invite him to connect with you in Family & Friends using his Disney account email. This will allow the plans you’ve already made to migrate to his account.
Lastly, if you have not already, be sure to make advanced
Disney Park Pass reservations for the day you wish to visit
Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Enjoy your time in Batuu!
Til the Spire,
Tiffanie
