I am taking my son for his first Disney trip for his birthday. He will be 1 year old. Any advice on activities to do at the park that are infant-friendly?

    Hi Kalondra,

Congratulations on your little guy's first birthday!  I have celebrated many birthdays at the Walt Disney World Resort and can tell you that it is a Magical experience.  You should make sure to note your celebration on your Resort hotel and dining reservations as well as request a "Birthday button" from your Resort hotel or at Guest Services at any of the theme parks.  You will be surprised how many well wishes your son will receive and sometimes even a little extra Pixie Dust will find its way to you.

There are so many activities and attractions that are infant friendly in the theme parks.  As a mother of four children I have vacationed numerous times with infants and have enjoyed every minute of it.  Here is a link to get you started for Planning for Pre-School Kids and Little Ones.  You will note that within the linked page are many resources including a downloadable guide and a link to attractions for your little guy.  The attractions link is very helpful and I personally like to set the filters at the top and middle of the page to view one theme park at a time and also set the height restrictions to "any height".  Another very helpful tip to know about is the Baby Care Centers located in each theme park.  There is a fantastic video by one of our Moms Panelists at the bottom of the linked page about the Baby Care Centers that you will find very useful.

One final tip for you is to schedule one or more character meals during your trip.  Not only will you enjoy having a nice air conditioned break in your day, but the characters visit you at your table while you dine.  It's the perfect way to relax, recharge, and make memories with your favorite characters.

    Have a Disney Day!
