Hi, I will be taking my son for his fifth birthday .We will be there Monday and Tuesday would like to know how to make arrangements to have him eat breakfast with Mickey or Amy characters and to have a birthday cake for him for dinner?

    Hi Lisa,

How fun to be planning a birthday trip for your little guy! You'll want to call 407-WDW-DINE to make reservations for character dining. If you are wanting to dine with Mickey, try to book Chef Mickey's. This very popular restaurant is a lot of fun. Keep in mind that dining reservations were able to made up to 180 days in advance, so you may not find any availability at this late date. You can also try the Tusker House at the Animal Kingdom for breakfast. There they have "Donald's Safari Breakfast" with Donald, Daisy, Mickey and Goofy in their safari gear. There is always a chance of last minute cancellations so if all else fails, you can arrive bright and early at Chef Mickey's, tell them it's his birthday and see if there is anything that has opened up.

For a birthday cake, during your dinner at a table-service restaurant, simply ask for a "Celebrate Today" cake. These 6-inch cakes are available in both chocolate and vanilla. No advance notice is necessary; you can order upon arrival at most of the table-service restaurants. If you would prefer a specialty cake, you will need to pre-order that with at least 48 hours notice by calling (407) 827-2253.

Wishing you a wonderful vacation with your little boy,
