Hello Heather,
First of all, I'm glad you came by the Disney Parks Moms Panel to seek our advice in planning your magical first time visit. I am thrilled to hear that this vacation will include multi-generations so that everyone will get to experience your son's enjoyment of all the wonder and magic there at Walt Disney World. Seeing it through a child's eyes is exponentially better, in my opinion.
I'd like to offer you several official planning sites for you to visit. These links will offer tips, sample itineraries and all of the essential tools to get started. The first link is for those
traveling to Walt Disney World with little ones. You will be amazed at how many attractions and shows you can enjoy with your infant, as well as the older generation. I highly recommend taking advantage of the
Baby Care Centers, too. These are located in each of the four theme parks and are a quiet place to take a break, change a diaper, or feed your son. Another suggestion is experiencing at least one character meal. My favorites are breakfast at Tusker House or 1900 Park Fare, but there are so many to choose from. Next, you can visit the site for
vacation recommendations. You will simply click on several options including resort hotels, dining and tickets, and the site will customize a sample vacation plan for you. You can use this as a springboard for your planning. Lastly,
planning with family and friends will offer great opportunities to do things together or separately. This site will help you keep the entire travel party organized and those reservations linked.
Happy Planning!
