We are taking our son to Disney World for his 8th birthday (he has no idea) and will arrive on his birthday, sept 27. What are some ways we can make his day extra special?

Hi Tyler. Wow, you guys are the best parents ever! It sounds like it will be the most awesome 8th birthday any boy could ever dream of. I would never be able to pull off a surprise visit to Walt Disney World. I just get too excited and can't keep all of the happiness to myself. Here are some ideas that might help make your son's 8th birthday special:

*Let him choose- Once the secret is out and he knows where he is, give him a map and let him choose which attractions to do. He will feel like the king of the world getting to call all of the shots. After all, it is his special day!

*Button and hat- Stop by Guest Relations to pick up a Birthday Button and make sure to swing by The Chapeau and get your son some Birthday Mickey Ears. He will be noticed all around the parks.

*Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage- Set sail on a journey across Seven Seas Lagoon with your very own pirate captain. You will get a chance to meet Captain Hook and his faithful right hand (which is technically his only hand) Mr. Smee. Be dazzled by the amazing fireworks show from the boat, and get in on the fun with the trivia and games.

*Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party- You mentioned that your son's birthday is September 27th. This year, the Halloween party falls on September 27th, and what better way to celebrate than a party? There is a special Boo To You Parade, evening fireworks show Happy Hallowishes, and several opportunities to see character in costume. And lets not forget-lots of candy!

*Cake- Order a special personalized Birthday cake by calling (407) 827-2253 at least 72 hours in advance.

Im running out of space but if you need more suggestions come back and see us! Have a magical vacation!
