Hi! I am taking my son to Disney for his 5th Birthday the week of Jan. 15th 2011. I am not only trying to have a character dining experience, whether it be breakfast or dinner, but I was wondering if there was any "special" birthday experience

    Hi Tarah,

As you can imagine, I can't think of a better place to celebrate a fifth (or any) birthday than at Walt Disney World.  You can add to your son's magic by ordering a custom cake to his birthday dinner celebration.  Disney has a cake hotline (407-827-2253) and order anything from an individual pirate ship-themed cake, to an elaborate confectionary creation.  You can also include a goody bag and/or some table decorations by calling the Disney Dining line (407-WDW-DINE) and including these on your reservation.  Finally, if you are interested in truly upping the "wow" factor, you can work with www.disneyflorist.com and order an in-room celebration for your little boy.  The Cast Members at the florist can transform your resort room into a birthday extravaganza with a variety of exciting packages that a five-year-old would love.

I hope your son and entire family have a wonderful trip!
