Hello I taking my son to celebrate his 1st birthday what can I do to make it memorable when he grows older and I have a 4 years old son too.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Maria. I'm excited to hear you're heading to the Happiest Place on Earth to celebrate your son's 1st birthday.

I often remind Guests, as well as my friends and family, that it's best to keep 1st birthday celebrations simple. Your son won't remember a thing about his 1st birthday at the Disneyland Resort; however, by capturing this special occasion on video and photographs, your son will have these to enjoy for decades to come! Disney PhotoPass Service is a convenient way to capture special moments of your family enjoying this important milestone. Perhaps have a Mickey Ears hat embroidered with "1st Birthday". Then, take photos of your son wearing the hat, with Sleeping Beauty's Castle or Mickey's Fun Wheel in the background.

Remember to celebrate Big Brother as well. 4 is a fun age, and he'll sure be delighted to celebrate his little brother's birthday at a Character Dining. Goofy's Kitchen and Surf's Up! Breakfast with Mickey and Friends are ideal places. Be sure to let the Cast Members at the restaurant know you are celebrating your son's 1st birthday.

I hope this information is helpful for you as you continue to plan you family's trip to celebrate your son's 1st birthday at the Happiest Place on Earth, Maria. Please visit us on the Panel again if you'd like more tips and advice.

    Sending you Pixie Dust,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
