We're taking our son for his 8th birthday 1/12-1/17. Spending six days in the parks, hoping to hit all four, then MK twice. What other park should we hit a second day? Trying to plan special things for kiddo's b-day, which is the 14th. Any suggestions?

    Hi, Emily!

What a wonderful 8th birthday you're planning for your little man!

If you're trying to head to a second park on 1/13, I'd go over to Epcot, which, according to touringplans.com (an unofficial crowd-predicting site) should have a crowd level of 2.8 out of 10. It's an easy hop via monorail from Magic Kingdom (head to the Transportation and Ticket Center via monorail from MK, then change to the Epcot monorail line. Super easy!)

For your son's big day, book a meal at a favorite restaurant or with a favorite character. We love celebrating birthdays at Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort where Guests of all ages often choose to gather on their birthday. We love that it's a buffet, too, so that the birthday celebrant won't have to wait to enjoy a favorite meal.

Of course, you'll want to pick up a complimentary birthday button, too (at your WDW Resort Hotel or at Guest Services in the parks) so that Cast Members and Guests alike will wish your son a very happy birthday the entire day. There's nothing quite like it!

For something really special, try disneyflorist.com which offers many special birthday surprises that can be tucked into your room as you travel the parks. Imagine the smile on your little guy's face as he walks into your room only to find Captain Jack Sparrow balloons or  a Mickey Mouse plush with chocolate bars waiting for his arrival.

You can even have a custom cake delivered to many WDW restaurants, too, by calling (407) 827-2253 at least 48 hours in advance. If you don't get to order this in time, most Table Service restaurants in WDW offer both a chocolate and vanilla 6-inch cake that you can order upon your arrival at the restaurant.

Have a great time planning, Emily! Be sure to send more questions as you think of them, too..and wish your son a very happy birthday from all of us on the Moms Panel!
