Taking my son for his birthday to Disney world. He wants to see the “sword in the stone”. Is the anvil still at the Magic Kingdom?

Hello Yeni! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

So your birthday boy wants to test his might with the fabled Sword in the Stone? Fortunately, he will have the chance to test his mettle in front of one and all in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom.

The Sword in the Stone is prominently displayed in front of Prince Charming Regal Carrousel with Sword firmly placed in anvil. In fact, The Royal Majesty Makers are on the lookout for a new hero and hold court several times a day testing brave volunteers to see if they have what it takes to remove the sword. Be sure to check a Magic Kingdom Times guide or download the My Disney Experience App for showtimes. If your son wants to truly experience The Sword in the Stone, The Royal Majesty Makers are great fun and not to be missed.

Be sure to pick up a Complimentary Celebratory Birthday Button when you enter Magic Kingdom for the day at Guest Relations and have your son wear it and stand where The Royal Majesty Makers can see him. The Royal Majesty Makers, like all Cast Members, are always looking to make Birthdays extra special for Guests and he may even be chosen to participate in the show.
