I am taking a solo trip to Disney & noticed that if I plug in party of 1 for dining reservations it is difficult to find availability, but if I plug in a party of 2 for the same time there are tons of openings. Can I get a party of 2 slot if I'm alone?

    Hi, Emily!

A solo visit to the Walt Disney World Resort sounds divine! You’re going to have such a great time exploring the parks. Be sure to check out all of the exciting additions in New Fantasyland!

I’m also the kind of person who likes to book dining and other experiences online when possible. My understanding is that the online reservations system accesses the same database as when you book by phone, but my advice in this case would be to call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 so you can speak to a Cast Member directly. The reservation system may be searching to find a table appropriate for your exact party size, and when there isn’t a table specifically designated for one person (even if there technically is a table for two people available) it may indicate that no tables can be found. I don't recommend making an Advanced Dining Reservation online that lists more diners than will actually be present since some restaurants require a credit card deposit or full payment in advance.

I hope this helps, Emily, and that you have a perfectly pixie-dusted vacation! Please feel free to write back with more questions as you continue to plan.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
