Hi I 'm taking my sister and her two kids age1& 8 disneyworld for the 1st time. are there rides that we can go as family(with the 1yr old). What other things can we do as family to make the vacation more magical

Hi Lavanya. Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Did you know that there are over 80 attractions and entertainment options that the whole family, those of any age and height can enjoy? One of the things that I love the most about the Walt Disney World Resort is that they make it a really enjoyable experience to travel with little ones!

Some of the things that we really love to do as a family are soaring on Dumbo the Flying Elephant, listening to some corny jokes and seeing the backside of water on the Jungle Cruise, watching the wishes nighttime spectacular, and catching one of the amazing parades. Our favorite parade is the Main Street Electrical Parade at Magic Kingdom Park. Another family favorite is to hop aboard the Walt Disney World Railroad. We also spend a lot of time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. My kids enjoy seeing all of the animals and they love the Affection Section where they can even interact with some of them!

I am asked all of the time what you can do as a family to make your vacation more magical or more memorable. In my opinion making a vacation more magical isn’t something that money can buy. Making a vacation more magical is slowing down to really just take in all of the magic with your family, it is taking a selfie with Mickey Mouse, or skipping down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A., or snuggling up watching a movie poolside with some ice cream at the end of a long day. Making a vacation more magical is just being together, splashing in the pool, sharing some popcorn and hot chocolate. Hold each other close, share your favorites each day, and tell each other “I love you” in front of Cinderella Castle. It is in these small moments that the greatest magic and memories are made!

    Have an Unforgettable time!
