Taking my parents to WDW. How early can you rent ECVs--while waiting for rope drop? Can I rent them when I get there at RD then come back with my parents a few hours later to get the ECV? Can we leave their wheelchairs there while they use the ECV in park?

    Hi Maria-Rose!

What a fabulous vacation you are planning with your parents! I love taking mine along as well, any chance I can. Sharing the magic with family creates an even more memorable trip.

You are able to rent ECVs and wheelchairs as soon as the first Guests are allowed into the parks. For Magic Kingdom Park for instance, with the new opening allowing Guests to enter Main Street, U.S.A. prior to the scheduled park opening time, you are able to rent them then. I was told that vehicles can be held if Guests plan on leaving and returning to the same park in the same day, but I recommend verifying this information at the rental location. Another option may be to rent from one of Disney's Featured Providers for the length of your stay. This way they'd have the ECVs with them at all times. Have a wonderful vacation, Maria-Rose, and if there is anything else we are able to assist you with, please let us know.

    Magical Wishes,
