    We are taking a 4 night cruise in Jan/12. What kind of clothing should we wear since it is winter? Another question, we will arrive at MCO one day before the cruise and we are renting a car. Is there a safe place to leave the car in the port? Tks!

    Ahoy there Juliana,

    I cruised on the Disney Dream last January so I can tell you what the weather was like then.  It was beautiful!  As someone who hails from the north, I typically associate January with snow and dreadfully cold temperatures, but in Florida and the Bahamas it was temperate and sunny.  I suggest you bring typical summer clothes. I was very comfortable in capri pants and short sleeves.  Don't forget your swimsuits and sunscreen.  For evenings, however, you will want a lightweight jacket because the breezes off the water can be cold at night. 

    There is a safe place to leave a car at Port Canaveral while you are at sea.  We parked our rental car in the gated, covered parking lot right by the cruise terminal while we were on the Dream.  It cost $15/day to park there.
