Ahoy, Eric!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Seeing that you're from Michigan, I know you're no stranger to how freezing cold and snowy the month of January can be! Booking a Disney Cruise to paradise is the perfect winter escape! January is actually one of my family's favorite months to set sail with Captain Mickey. While our family and friends are back in Chicago wearing heavy winter coats, we're enjoying the warm sand on
Disney's private island, Castaway Cay!
You can expect the weather to be very nice in the Bahamas during the month of January! It's sunny with the temperature usually averaging around 70 degrees. On our voyage aboard the
Disney Dream this past January, the temperatures reached into the high 70's every day! The evenings get a bit cool on deck; I recommend packing a light jacket or sweatshirt for walking around deck or while watching a Disney movie under the stars on Funnel Vision.
Eric, I'm not sure if you've made your travel arrangements yet. If not, may I suggest arriving one or two days prior to your Disney Cruise? This just gives you a little wiggle room in case there is severe winter weather and your flight gets canceled. You don't want to miss your cruise!
I'm wishing you warm weather with tons of sunshine during your January voyage! If you have any other questions, please come back and visit us again!
