Hiya Julia!
It's so nice to meet you, thanks for your question!
Disney Cruise Line recommends that guests sailing from Port Canaveral and flying out of Orlando International Airport book flights no earlier than 11:15 AM on their debarkation day. So if your flight is at 9:20 AM then I would definitely look at changing it. Even if you choose the Express Walk-Off option (meaning you keep your luggage with you) it's unlikely you'll be able to debark before 8:00 AM. With the drive to the port taking at least 40 minutes, making a 9:20 AM flight really isn't possible.
I'm glad that your cruise is still a few months away so that you have time to adjust your plans. Personally, I like to fly into Orlando the day before our cruise, just so that any delays in our travel don't jeopardize our cruise. For flights home, I like to book flights around 2:00 PM so we have time to eat a last breakfast on the ship and say "see ya real soon" to our dining team before we leave. After relaxing on the cruise the last thing I want to do is rush to the airport on a tight schedule!
If you're looking for a low-stress travel option, I would recommend adding
ground transportation to your cruise. It's so nice to have the travel logistics taken care of!
It looks like your cruise is heading to
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point! My family loves to watch for wildlife when we're cruising, I hope you'll
find some beautiful creatures on the island. Disney is working hard to preserve the natural habitats of the Bahamas, I hope you will enjoy the beautiful beaches!
Safe travels, Julia! I hope everything goes smoothly and you have a fabulous cruise.
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
