I will be taking my nieces and nephew this October 2022, my niece has a heart disability and being exposed to the sun for too long or staying in one spot for too long can affect her heart. Does disney have any accommodations for our trip?

Greetings, and a warm welcome to planDisney, Michelle, we thank you for your question.

It makes my heart so happy to see that you will be taking your nieces and nephew to Disneyland Resort during the Halloween Season, how wonderful and very kind of you, Michelle.

The first thing that came to mind when considering your niece’s condition was the Disability Access Service (DAS) – an accommodation designed to assist Guests whose disability presents them with challenges tolerating extended periods of time in a conventional queue. To register for the DAS  accommodation, you can do so from the comfort of your home from 2-days to 30-days before your visit via the DAS Advance virtual chat, or you are welcome to visit the City Hall, Chamber of Commerce or a Guest Information location during your visit at the Disneyland Resort.

Michelle, to prepare for either method of registration, please ensure that you have linked everyone’s Disneyland Resort theme park admission using the ticket ID number to your Disney account and then please make your Theme Park Reservations for each valid day of admission. Lastly, your niece will need to be present for registration either virtually, or in person.

Using this accommodation during your visit, you, or anyone in your travel party on the DAS Guestlist, will be able to self-select return time selections using the Disneyland Mobile App. You are also welcome to physically request a return time from a Cast Member at a Guest Relations location if you wish. Please remember that the registered Guest, your niece, must be present to redeem the return time.

    Tips:
Michelle, please feel free to visit the First Aid locations at both theme parks if your niece needs to rest a while, and kindly refer to Disneyland Resort – Services for Guests with Disabilities to see if any other accommodations may be of benefit to your niece.

Save time waiting in lines by purchasing the Disney Genie+ Service either during your theme park ticket purchase, or as soon as you enter a Disneyland Resort theme park via the Disneyland Mobile App - plus, if you purchase the Disney Genie+ Service, not only can you use this service with the DAS accommodation, but you will enjoy unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass Service attraction photos including Magic Shots from your day!

It was my pleasure offering advice today, I hope that you have a magically memorable visit with your nieces and nephew to reflect on for years to come. I am certain they will treasure this vacation with great fondness always and forever.

    Best Disney Wishes!
    Jacqueline
