Welcome to planDisney, Anna! I’m already nominating you all for the Uncle and Auntie of the Year Awards—there’s no way you’re not getting it! Bringing your niece to Walt Disney World is just the best, and I can’t wait to hear all about this magical trip. I’d also love to chat with you about parking around Disney Resorts today.
As you may already know,
overnight self-parking is complimentary only for Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels. So, if her family isn't staying overnight, they won't be able to park at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, as there isn't a paid parking option available.
That said, I have two tips to help make this day truly amazing and ensure you all get some quality time together! First, think about booking a dining reservation at a table-service restaurant. Standard self-parking is complimentary for day Guests enjoying select dining, shopping, entertainment, and recreation experiences at Disney Resort hotels. While Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter doesn’t have any table-service options, right next door at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, you’ll find the delicious
Boatwright's Dining Hall where you can savor dinner while overlooking the beautiful Sassagoula River with your entire family. Plus, you’re super close to Disney Springs—just a complimentary water taxi ride away! Parking there is always complimentary, and you'll find tons of dining and entertainment options.
Among my favorite spots to recommend, you can’t go wrong with
Wine Bar George, known for its masterfully crafted menu and wine pairings. If you're in the mood for a quick yet scrumptious bite,
D-Luxe Burger has everyone’s favorites with their classic and satisfying burgers. And to top off the night, be sure to visit
Gideon's Bakehouse for those incredibly delicious giant cookies.
I hope this helps with your planning, Anna! Feel free to come back anytime, and let us know if you have any other questions—
we’re always happy and ready to help out our fantastic friends like you!
Cheers
Nilson
