Hey there, hi there Allison! Thanks for stopping by planDisney where you're always welcome as can be.
Hot dog! You are the coolest aunt in the world taking your little Mouseketeer nephew to Walt Disney World! My youngest is about his age, and we're heading to the Most Magical Place on Earth in just a few days. Although some parts of our vacation look a little different these days, there is still plenty to mouseke-do in the theme parks and resorts. I'll share a few things we're especially excited about.
My family has been so thrilled to see more live entertainment returning to the theme parks. By the time you travel, your little guy will be able to hang out under the sea with Crush and Squirt at
Turtle Talk With Crush, drop in on our favorite, friendly monsters at
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, and roar with Simba at
A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King. At
Disney's Hollywood Studios, stop by and say ka-chow to the residents of Radiator Springs at
Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy. Interactive, live entertainment is always a must-do for my mouseketeers.
Several modified character meals are available for booking, and I recommend planning at least one if it fits into your schedule. Mickey Mouse and his pals are currently making appearances at
Chef Mickey's,
Tusker House Restaurant,
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera, and
Garden Grill Restaurant. Dining alongside the Disney characters is a priority for both my four and seven year old on every visit.
If your nephew is an aspiring Jedi, consider reserving a spot at the
Droid Depot in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge where he can construct his own astromech sidekick. The approximately 20-minute long experience is fun in and of itself, but your young Padawan would also come away with the coolest souvenir in the galaxy.
Finally, for my kids, getting around Walt Disney World is exciting. They love to try various modes of transportation, and their current favorite is the Disney Skyliner. If you have tickets with the Park Hopper® Option, taking the most magical flight on Earth is a fun way to travel between EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios.
I hope this is helpful, Allison! You're going to have a wonderful time with your little guy next month. Since face coverings are still a part of our world, be sure to order a few from shopDisney before you go. These are my kids' preferred face masks, and there are some really cute ones available right now. Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, and we'll see ya real soon!
