I am taking my mother (63) to WDW in Feb. 09 and was curious about the towel animals. well I won't be having any kids along and was curious if they would still make something for my mother as this is her 1st time to Disney and would be great for her. help!

I love that you want your mom to have fun at WDW!

It's certainly possible that your mom could receive a towel animal, but there's not really any way to guarantee this. Towel animals are made for a room, not necessarily for a specific person. You could find one in your room when you first enter. In nearly 30 WDW hotel stays, I have had towel animals made for me approximately five times. Not many of the mousekeepers are trained in this unique art, so it's somewhat the luck of the draw as to whether you happen to get one that is.

However, there are plenty of ways that you could make your mom's stay special. You could send her a bouquet or gift basket from the Disney Florist. They have a website at Check out their standard offerings, but if you don't see something just right, give them a call and they can create something super special just for you. You could also have your room decorated or have a special cake sent to a restaurant for her.

I hope you and your mom have a wonderful time together.
