Hi Moms, I am taking my mother to Disney this coming up weekend for her 50th birthday. I have scheduled several character meals and i would love to notify the staff ahead of time that we will be celebrating. What do i need to do to contact the restaurant?

Hi Kaitlyn! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

What a special trip you have ahead of you this weekend! I'm sure your mother will LOVE celebrating her milestone birthday at "The Most Magical Place on Earth." Did you know that you can pick up a complimentary birthday button (pin) at Guest Relations or most merchandise locations in the theme parks and Disney Springs, or at the Front Desk of Disney Resort hotels? When your mom wears the button, Cast Members may see it and wish a "Happy Birthday" to her, too!

Your best bet for placing a note on your Character dining reservations will be to call the Disney Dining team directly at (407) 939-1947. The Cast Member you speak with can add this celebration note to your reservations (make sure to say that you want to add it to all your reservations). I also recommend mentioning it when you check in for your dining reservations. There have been a few times that I added the note over the phone, but it didn't show up on the reservation and mentioning at the restaurant was helpful.

I hope this helps and that you have the BEST vacation, Kaitlyn! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
