    Hi! Taking our 18 month old son on his 1st trip to WDW in Jan '12. Have ADR at Whispering canyon for dinner one night, how much time should we allow to get there from the Beach club? I'm assuming we need to take a bus to MK then ferry to WL, correct?

    Hi Kristina,

    Congratulations on your son's first trip to WDW! January is our favorite time of the year to visit due to the low crowds!

    The weather, however, can be unpredictable. We've had January vacations that were hot and others that were freezing cold. So watch the weather forecast!

    Due to the weather, I would suggest the following route:
    boat to Hollywood Studios
    bus to the Wilderness Lodge

    The boat to Disney's Hollywood Studios is enclosed and therefore you won't be exposed to the elements during the ride. If it's a nice day, it's also an easy walk.

    I would avoid going to the Magic Kingdom and transferring to a boat there as transportation is much busier from this location, especially if it'll be near park closing time.

    Allow one hour and complete your transfer to the Wilderness Lodge via the nearby Disney's Hollywood Studios.
