Hello! We are taking our 19 month old son to Disney in February. Will we be able to take him on the haunted mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean ride or is he too little ? Thank you!

    Hi, there!

I'm so excited to see you have an upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation planned with your little Mouseketeer. We had the best time taking our son to Magic Kingdom Park for the first time when he was a year old. Such wonderful memories were made!

I am happy to tell you that your 19-month old can ride Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion with you. When our son experienced those classic Disney attractions for the first time, we held him in our lap and he was perfectly happy watching Captain Jack Sparrow and Grim Grinning Ghosts!

Other Magic Kingdom Park attractions our 1-year old especially enjoyed included Peter Pan's Flight, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, "it's a small world," Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Jungle Cruise.

Jeannie, if there is an attraction you would like to ride that your little guy isn't tall enough for, you can utilize Disney's Rider Switch Service so you don't have to miss out! My fellow panelist, Lindsey, does a great job explaining how to use the Rider Switch Service with a little one in tow.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jeannie. Wishing you the most magical time at the Walt Disney World Resort!
