Hi Marcy!
Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation! I think you are going to have such a
MAGICAL vacation with your little one on their first visit. Some of my most treasured photos are of my children as babies in Walt Disney World.
Since you have the capability of visiting for 4 days, I wholeheartedly recommend visiting the theme parks for all 4 days and buying a 4 day theme park ticket. With a 4 day theme park ticket you can visit any of the theme parks. Therefore if you decide to only visit Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom you can do so and are not limited to any certain park with a 4 day theme park ticket. If you purchase 1 day park tickets separately, then you must choose which park you would like to visit.
Personally I recommend taking your child to all 4 theme parks. Each park is themed quite differently and appeals to every age. I have 4 children ranging from preschool to high school and we visit all 4 theme parks on each vacation. My children each have "must-do" attractions in each theme park.
One final tip - did you know about the
Rider Switch Service offered at Walt Disney World? Follow the previous link to read about this wonderful service which allows one Guests to wait with a non-rider (for example your toddler on height-restricted attractions) while the other Guest(s) ride the attraction; then the Guest who waited can enter the attraction without having to go through the normal queue.
Thank you for your question. If you have any more Disney vacation planning questions please come back and ask them here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We love to help!
Blessings,
