Hiya, Casey!
Welcome back to planDisney. I’m so excited to hear you’re planning a visit with your little Mouseketeer to
Disney’s Hollywood Studios! What a scene-stealing moment! As a fellow mom who’s explored the parks with my wiggly toddlers in tow, I totally understand wanting to find that sweet spot between magical and manageable.
Casey, many of the shows at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, like
Disney Jr. Play and Dance!!, are absolutely perfect for little ones who just can’t stop, won’t stop moving. This high-energy dance party features favorites like Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, and Mickey himself, and it’s designed with tiny feet in mind. There’s no traditional seating, and kids are encouraged to get up, dance, and boogie to their heart’s content!
For shows with seating like
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration or
Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage, there’s often a bit more structure, but Cast Members are really understanding. I would recommend choosing an aisle seat for a quick exit if needed, and some shows offer accessible viewing areas that can be helpful for strollers or quick ins-and-outs. I’ve found that a well-timed snack or a favorite lovey helps make those magical moments more comfortable, too.
As for
Fantasmic!, it’s one of my all-time favorites, but with its dark setting, dramatic moments, and later start time, it can be a bit much for some toddlers. If you decide to give it a go, aim for a seat near an exit so you can easily step out if needed. And don’t be surprised if the dazzling lights and water projections capture her attention just long enough for you to say, “Well, that was unexpected magic!”
At the end of the day, it’s all about following your little one’s lead and soaking in every precious moment, even the wiggly ones. Sometimes, it’s those unscripted toddler moments that turn into the core memories we treasure forever!
Wishing you a blockbuster day full of giggles, dance breaks, and just the right amount of pixie dust!
See ya real soon,
Emille
