We’re taking the Magic Express to resort. Can we buy lunch at airport and eat it on the bus? we need to use our arrival day as one of our park days can we store our carry on bags at hotel while we head to park? Which park best for half day?

    So many great questions!

So while they do not encourage eating on Disney's Magical Express buses, I have had a bite on a ride from the Orlando Airport to my resort hotel. I think the most important thing to consider is that you are in an enclosed bus, so the scent of what you choose to eat might interact with other guests, so consider that when choosing your meal. That includes consideration for guests like my daughter who has a shellfish allergy. It is not a joke when that kind of food (and others like peanuts) aerate in an enclosed space, resulting in allergic reactions.

One of the many great features of Disney's Magical Express is the luggage delivery service. If you have your bags tagged from your departure airport, you don't even have to pick up your bags at the carousel. Disney picks them up and delivers them to your room later that day! But yes, with your carry-ons you can leave them at the resort's bell services desk for later in the day!

As for the best park for a half day, I would not recommend the Animal Kingdom, as I presume we are talking about the latter half of the day. Though they have tons of fun afternoon and evening activities, one of my family's favorite draws there are the animal encounters, like the Kilimanjaro Safaris. Animals tend to be more active in the morning, so I would visit that park later during your stay when you can get there in the morning.

I would always recommend that you go to the Magic Kingdom first. I think it starts the vacation off on the right foot. Also, it has so much to offer that when you return later on your trip there will still be so much to see and do. The only exception would be if you are a foodie who really wants to hit one of the table service restaurants in the World Showcase in Epcot.

BOTTOM LINE: Go to the Magic Kingdom. It sets the right tone for your trip and there is so much in that park that a return trip won't feel redundant.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
