We are taking the Magic Behind our Steam Trains Tour at MK and on a different day the Backstage Safari tour at AK. Both tours start before the parks open. Where exactly do we go and stand to get into the park early? We do not want to be in the wrong loc.

Hi Ronald! It sounds like you have some really exciting adventures lined up!

My husband and father-in-law took Disney’s Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour about two years ago and they completely fell in love. They still talk about it to this day!

When checking in for Disney’s Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour they ask that you check in at the main entrance of Magic Kingdom Park. I recommend that you find a cast member and ask them to direct you to the exact place you are supposed to meet, because it is my understanding that there are no signs to direct you on where to wait. For the Backstage Safari, you will check in at the main entrance of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park near the far left turnstile. Please keep in mind that the exact spot on where to check in for tours are subject to change at any time; so if you are ever in doubt,  find a cast member and they will direct you in the right direction!

Here are a couple of reminders to make your tour experiences seamless. If you are staying at a Disney resort hotel, standard Walt Disney World transportation may not be available because the tour begins before regular park hours begin. A great resource to use is your resort concierge. The resort concierge can help you figure out if standard transportation can be used or if you may need to arrange for alternate transportation. They ask that you check in 15 minutes prior to the start of your tour. Both tours are outdoors so it is recommended that you check the weather forecast and dress appropriately. You may also want to bring a bottle of water with you.

I hope that your tour experiences will leave you feeling like you are a part of Walt Disney’s magic!
