Hi Michelle,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I’m SO excited to hear you’re planning your Mouseketeers’ first visit! There is nothing like watching someone you love experiencing the power of magic for the very first time.
The
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan includes so much delicious food, but with careful planning, you shouldn’t have too many entitlements left over. Be sure to talk to a Cast Member at your resort about their favorite ways to make the most of your dining plan – they always have great recommendations for fabulous snacks or favorite restaurants or festival kiosks. At this time, you may exchange a meal entitlement for three snacks, but remember to think about the value of a full meal versus snacks when doing this, and remember that this allowance is subject to change.
If you do find you have entitlements left over, you’ll be able to use them to purchase pre-packaged snacks. I always make a point of bringing home Mickey-shaped Rice Krispie treats, candy apples, or other yummy treats for our friends who watch our pets, our babysitter, and our kids’ friends. You can also stock up on snacks like character-shaped gummy candies, trail mix, popcorn, and other packaged goods, which are fun to pop into the kids’ lunchboxes or pull out for movie night. I always see Guests at the
Main Street Confectionery redeeming extra snack entitlements for all kinds of delicious items (I hope they don't notice me drooling!).
I hope that helps, Michelle. Be sure to read the Disney Parks Blog as you count down (they share great dining news), and please come back and see us as you plan for your pixie-dusted first visit!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
