We're taking 4 little girls to Animal Kingdom this Saturday for a birthday. We FastPassed the Bug & Safari rides and we booked the Festival of the Lion King lunch Tier 2. Is there anything else that is a must do to make this a great day?

Hiya Kelly! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

What a WILD birthday adventure you have planned with your birthday princess and her friends at Disney's Animal Kingdom! Since you’re probably right in the middle of your magical day when you’re reading this, I’m going to make some suggestions that require zero planning – just show up and enjoy. It’s time to party up!

Be sure to stop by Discovery Island to meet the Merry Menagerie. These incredible reindeer, fox, and other animal puppets and their puppeteers bring winter magic to life – the puppets are gorgeous, and the girls will love interacting with them. It’s wonderful.

Over in Dino-Land, U.S.A., stop by Donald’s Dino-Bash!, where Chip ‘n Dale, Donald Duck, and friends are dressed in their holiday best. They’re so much fun to meet, and the festive decorations in DinoLand are great. While you’re over there, the girls might enjoy exploring The Boneyard playground, which is truly epic. My kids insist on stopping there every visit!

In Africa, it’s always fun to stop and see the entertainers on the stage in Harambe Market – you can even dance along and join in their fun. If you don’t see entertainers, ask a Cast Member for today’s schedule.

Kelly, the Disney Parks Blog recently shared a list of holiday treats at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and maybe there’s something your birthday princess would love. The Peppermint Cookies and Cream Shake at Trilo-Bites sounds fabulous, and my daughter could not get enough of the spiced nuts at Dawa Bar. The Starbucks location, Creature Comforts, always has fantastic cupcakes, baked goods, and coffee for the grown-ups in the group.

When you sit down for lunch, be sure to tell your server you’re celebrating a birthday! You can also stop at Guest Relations, any merchandise location, or even a restaurant to request a birthday celebration button for your birthday kid. Those buttons are such a fun way to receive birthday wishes from Cast Members and fellow Guests throughout the day.

I hope it’s the BEST BIRTHDAY EVER today, Kelly!

Wishing you a magical birthday celebration and day,
    Robyn
