We are taking a last minute trip to WDW in 3 weeks! We have a 2 year old and will be using the hotel as little as possible- not much lounging or swimming. We're torn on the value vs. moderate hotels. We have the means to upgrade, but is it necessary?

Hello, Kristi!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

I am very happy to know that you and your family will be enjoying Walt Disney World in just a few short weeks!  You must be thrilled, so let's get started.

Personally, I see no reason to upgrade to a moderate resort.  Your little one will simply love the Value Resorts or, as I like to call them, "Candy for the Eye Resorts".  Although all the Value Resorts are MAGICAL, I would highly recommend Disney's All-Star Movies Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort. You may as well be walking into a Disney movie when you stay at any of these.  I always suggest to our guests to save their money when it comes to resort rooms.  If your family is anything like mine, you will only need the room to sleep and shower.  Save your money for some extra souvenirs!  For example, MAGICAL Disney Ears!

~Have a MAGICAL day and "SEE YOU REAL SOON"!~
